What is counselling, and how can it help me?

Counselling is a process of self-exploration and emotional support that helps you navigate challenges, gain clarity, and develop strategies for personal growth. My approach integrates counselling techniques with the enneagram, providing a deep understanding of your patterns and behaviors.

What is enneagram-based counselling?

The enneagram is a self-awareness tool that helps you understand your personality patterns, motivations, and emotional responses. In our sessions, we use the enneagram to explore your unique challenges and strengths, creating a tailored approach to your personal growth.

Who is counselling for?

Counselling is for anyone seeking support, clarity, or personal growth. Life brings challenges—stress, transitions, self-doubt, or difficult emotions—and having a guide can help you navigate them with greater ease and perspective. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from counselling. It Is a space for self-discovery, emotional balance, and building the tools to live with more confidence and fulfillment.

How long will it take to see results from counselling?

Progress varies for each person. Many clients notice changes within 8 to 12 sessions, meeting weekly or bi-weekly at first. Some need fewer sessions, while others benefit from ongoing support. We will adjust based on your goals.

Is counselling confidential?

Yes. Sessions are completely confidential, and your information is securely stored. I will never acknowledge you in public unless you greet me first. Exceptions include situations involving risk of harm, legal requirements, or medical emergencies. If you have concerns, we can discuss them.

What happens in a Discovery Call?

A 15-minute Discovery Call is a free, no-obligation conversation where we discuss your needs, answer your questions, and see if we are a good fit to work together.

How long are counselling sessions?

Sessions are available in 60-minute ($95 CAD) or 90-minute ($140 CAD) formats, depending on your needs.

Do you offer in-person sessions?

Currently, I offer online sessions, allowing you to connect from the comfort of your own space.

Payments & Policies

How do I pay for my sessions?

Payments can be made via ACH Bank transfer, PayPal, Zelle at the time of booking.

Do you offer sliding scale fees?

Yes! I believe counselling should be accessible. If financial concerns are a barrier, please reach out to discuss sliding scale options.

Do you accept insurance?

Some insurance providers cover counselling services, including those offered by Registered Therapeutic Counsellors (RTC) – Candidate with ACCT. However, coverage varies by policy, so I recommend confirming with your provider. While direct billing is not available, I provide detailed invoices for reimbursement.

To help with the process, we have created a step-by-step guide on how to request reimbursement from your insurance provider.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Sessions canceled with less notice may be subject to a fee.
